Message from Deb:
Hello everyone! How exciting to be writing this email. As of November the 28th our Adelaide Park Churchill Community Association has taken on a new look.
A big “WELCOME” to our new members Marty Edwards (St.Philip Rink Coordinator) , Patrick Heal (Treasurer) and Nader Keshta (Member at Large) your ideas ,
perspectives and families will add an exciting and new dimension to our board. To the veteran APCCAers, thank you for believing and knowing your time and
effort is valued and important to our community.
I will work hard to make our time spent together worthwhile, accommodating, efficient and a place you want to be.
In January we will take a look at our board positions and figure out our responsibilities. We will set goals and begin to get a feel for the abilities
of our executive. With focus, a financial plan and a bunch of great families we should be capable of making “it” happen. What it is... we will soon find
out.
As the executive we are fortunate to have the chance to put our ideas in motion and to create the feel of a vibrant, involved and active community.
A huge “Thank You” to our members who have moved on with life: Christine McGunigal-Ruys and Erin Kuan. You both have been anchors for our association.
Two truley reliable and dedicated friends. We know how busy your lives have been and we also know that you are transfering your volunteer time to other
volunteer positions. We wish you the best of everything!
Board Details:
APCCA executive has shuffled. We need to acquiant ourselves with our new duties. Start asking questions and sharing previous duties with the new coordinators.
The executive is missing a few very important positions. The best way to fill these positions is to ask a friend or an acquaintance.
Secretary: taking minutes, sending out notices of meetings and minutes, keeping up to date records of meetings. Volunteer Coordinator: recruit and manage volunteers. We haven't had this position before but it a standard position on most boards. Membership: Record member information at registration nights. Update membership book. Take memberships throughout the year. Website coordinator: Update the website with community news.
