Learn To Skate: 3-5 year olds (no skating experience) or 6-10 year olds – $45

  • 1-hour sessions on various afternoons, Saturdays and/or Sundays (specific dates and times to be announced shortly after registration closes)
  • Mid-January to mid-March at one of three outdoor rinks in Adelaide Park/Churchill, and South Nutana Park neighbourhoods.
  • Number of sessions continues based on when rink ice melts
  • Facilitated by Kaedan Watkins
  • Bring skates, helmet, PPE or cloth masks, and warm clothing to allow for outdoor instruction

Phys Ed For Youth at Home: 5-8 year olds – $15

  • Sundays 3 to 3:45PM via Zoom
  • Starts January 17th and runs for 8 sessions
  • Facilitated by Darcy Warrington, Physical Education teacher with Saskatoon Public Schools

This course focuses on using small spaces in the comfort of a child’s home to be active, engage body with mind, and get that heart rate up.  The course will focus on different elements of physical education surrounding gymnastics, circus arts/juggling, and various other activities that can challenge young people to work on developing their strength and cardiovascular health.

For this offering, you will need your phone/computer, a mat (if possible), some space for movement, and clothes that allow for flexibility.

Yoga Online for Strength and Balance (Over 50) – $50

  • Mondays, from 10:00 to 11:00am via Zoom – starts January 18th and runs for 10 sessions
  • Facilitated by Jennelle Dodd, C-IAYT

This therapeutic yoga series will support you in building strength and balance both physically and mentally. It is intended for, though not limited to, those over 50.  No past yoga experience needed. Classes will include postures, breath, and awareness practices. 

For this offering, you will need your phone/computer, a mat, some space for movement, and comfy clothes are all that’s needed.

Mindful Yoga Online – $50

  • Thursdays 7:30 to 8:30 pm via Zoom – starts January 21st and runs for 10 sessions.
  • Facilitated by Jennelle Dodd, C-IAYT

Step away from the screen and into your body.  Explore and renew through movement, mind-body connection, and compassion.  This therapeutic yoga series blends postures with mindfulness and is appropriate for those new to, and familiar with, yoga.

For this offering, you will need your phone/computer, a mat, some space for movement, comfy clothes and your curiosity.

In an effort to ensure everyone who wants to participate in a program can, the Community Association offers Cost-as-a-Barrier assistance for those facing financial hardships. The financial assistance is limited to one program per session per person and does not include memberships. All enquiries are kept confidential. Please feel free to approach or contact a member of our executive for more information.

To register for a program, a membership of this or another community association is needed. Cost is just $15 per family for the 2019/2020 school year. The registration form has an option to buy a membership at the bottom of the form.
