City of Saskatoon Water Treatment Department

September 9, 2021
Dear resident,
In 2022, the City will begin construction on a dry storm pond in Churchill Park which, once complete, will reduce the flood risk for several properties in your neighbourhood during intense rain events.
We had anticipated hosting an in-person information session this month, however, with COVID-19 case numbers on the rise once again in Saskatoon, two meetings will be hosted online via Microsoft Teams. You can attend one or both of the following:

  • Thursday, September 23, 2021 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 7, 2021 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The links to each online meeting can be found on the project engagement webpage: saskatoon.ca/engage/churchill-park-redesign.
After a short presentation, you will have an opportunity to comment and ask questions about the project. You do not have to download Microsoft Teams to participate. The meetings will also be recorded and posted to the project webpage in the days following.
Prior to the online meeting, it would be beneficial to view the renderings that show what the dry storm pond will look like and how it will function once complete. If you have not yet done so, please visit saskatoon.ca/engage and open the “Churchill Park Redesign” tile.
The Churchill Park Dry Storm Pond Project will be the second of 9 under the Flood Control Strategy. The project was approved by Saskatoon City Council on March 22, 2021.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you,
